I think it is very naive to think that all businesses can run auto pilot and you just go on vacation and still money comes to your wallet. No matter how systematize your business is, there is always a certain degree of "hands on." All businesses require hard work. The moment you lose sight of your business, i bet somebody's taking it away from you slowly but surely. Eyes on the prize, never lose focus in business. When your in business, drop your employee mentality and your fantasies.

hmmm.. im doing it man.. for how many years na pud... its physically impossible for me to directly manage all my businesses.. considering their located at different parts of the country..

although i would say, whenever you expand, my personal guidance is really needed.. dire na ang hands on.. kung normal operations lang, maski pa siguro one year ko mawala im confident sa ako establishments... as long as macontact nako ako accountant and ako lawyer..

its not impossible... if you know what your doing.. you dont need to trust people... all you need are checks and balance.. thats where the system comes in...

my trick here is to own only a portion of the company.. i would not completely own the entire biz.. i would give a portion to the employees or the managers, so there will be profit sharing.. its in their best interest to keep the company in good condition.. kung magbinuang sila, sila ra man pud madaot...

and kawat2x? easy.. thats why there is an accountant who does internal...

kamo, basin naa mo mathink nga idea unsaon.. it worked for me.. i dont know para sa inu...

and also, dili ni new ako gihimo, kung sa call centers pa, its what you call, stock based bonuses..

lisod siya paminawn, but if you imagine it, its not really complicated.. taas overhead, pero hey, you dont need to sweat it out.. thats my goal.. bahala dako expenses (coz naa managers/retainers) as long as earning and dili ko ma bog down ana.. its good investment..

in a way oo.. if you dont know if your paying the right taxes, BIR will grill you.. maski pa tarong imo pag negosyo.. naa jud mga daotan nga mga tao mangita og bikil para lang pangawartahan ka.... sa negosyo, dire ang imu weak link..

ayaw jud mo anang under the table didto sa BIR, labad kaau sa ulo and dili ka mka tulog og tarong.. sa BIR walay giila santo.. pangitaan jud ka sayop.. then pangwartahan..

example.. naa ka transaction nga nwad-an resibo.. maski gamay ra gud.. pistahan ka sa mga pating sa taga BIR ana... ang gamay nga butang, himoon nila dako.. for the purpose of using it as a negotiating leverage against you...

as much as possible.. avoid unnecessary attention.. dont advertise nga you have money.. its like saying "come rob me"
About ani, sakto gyud ka AmorsoloX.. Ayaw nalang pag-gara2/saba2 nga naa ka money/assets daghan..ky basin dili ra BIR magGukod nimo,..daghan pating sa gobyerno.

Mga Bro, I would have to agree that business is the way to go.

The only reason we work in call centers or just plain work in general is to save enough money to be able to invest them into something productive for ourselves so that we won't have to work.

We will then own our time, and control our financial destiny.

You are right bro... i also work in a call center but believe me, if you read previous post these so-called businessman here won't accept that. they really think they are high and mighty and most of all sige lang pang hambog but can't even show proof.

@Amorsolox: i also believed in caring for your employess so that they will remain loyal to you. In your case, your human factor is on your accountant and your lawyer. You know Rizal hardware, they lost their entire business to their accountant. Our previous accountant got in trouble with several business establishments for not remitting their payments to BIR. No matter how systemized you are, there is always the human factor. Good for you, you have done well to control the human factor. But i do believe, everything will change in due time. We just have to be watchful of our "trusted", "unquestionably loyal" employees. thats my take.

thats a very good.. to assume that an employee is loyal is the height of neivete.. you must acknowledge that humans are motivated by self-interest..

my human factor are all my employees.. in hiring an accountant or a lawyer.. i always opt for firms instead of private practitioners.. mas maau ng firms kay liable man ang whole company if magbinuang ang ila trabahante,... whenever possible.. never ever make a single person a whole system...

mas magduda ko anang mga "unquestionable" employees...
