Appreciated sad kaayo ang mga ROG(ASUS) and EVGA nga mga rigs diri! hahaha! kinsay rigs gani ang 1000W ang psu? mao ni ang concern sa officers kay tingali daw one day ra ang event tungod sa gasto sa electricity. but one day will be worth it if maglaway ko sa mga rigs!!?!
awww... 1 day ra? -.-
1 day ra gyud tingali....mahal man kurinti..tihik baya USC...
Di ko imba oi I just want to make sure madayon ni kay Cebu hasn't been pretty active in Computing. 2009 has been very boring in the Computing Scene of Cebu. In 2010, we may have COMDDAP but its not yet sure. Also, we shouldn't rely on events like MBM or COMDDAP just to have events like these.
I mean guys, come on, IT Hub of the Philippines ta yet we don't have any good events like E3(Gaming Convention), Overclocking Conventions or even a Mini Dreamhack(world's biggest LAN party) and all sorts. We're like the Silicon Valley although wala gyud tay events like that. Bisag a concrete group of ubergamers or uberclockers wala gyud (except for PC Tech, which is very active). There was LEG(CACHE), but its fate remains unknown. If only we people understand that there is a really big drawing board for everyone of us to make a really good event, we could just make Cebu more than the IT Hub of this country. When we have plenty of events, we have sponsors. When the sponsors understand the enthusiasm of this place and its expertise, those sponsors invest here. When they invest here, they make jobs for everyone, we won't have IT and CS graduates anymore that will work in Call Centers, they WILL work with companies like the brands we have in our Extreme Gaming Rigs. When we have those companies here, income taxes spill in and there's money for the government to improve things, OR even make Cebu closer to Silicon Valley. I know its a long chain, but its for the good of everyone.
I remember Tom Osmeņa said that in the next 10 years, Cebu will be the next Singapore. Even the government could not do it alone, that means if the government can't do it alone, the people will do it.
For now, all I can suggest is that schools should also do their part. We have plenty of sponsors that are interested on sponsoring events like this. Do you guys remember the Asus Ultimate Overclocking Show? I had a little talk with the Asus marketing and they are indeed serious on sponsoring really big events like LAN Parties. See? there's your clue. Go figure.
waaaa!!!! dont let it be 1 day only! Kapoy biya sad dala sa rig nya pila ra ka hrs.. T_T No!!!!!!!!!!!!! it should be 2 - 3 days! Damn old ppl! over tihik!
we'll try our best to extend it to two days the least. It depends sad daw sa number of participants. Iclarify lang namo ni Blizz. We really want this event to push through guys. And of course to promote the idea that having a extreme rig doesn't entail that your a geek but rather an enthusiast who wants to max out the capabilities of what the latest techs can offer to us! Death to those who call us geeks!
HAHA!
@personalmgt - I agree with you, we have to let the city know that people like us exist and that we dont just end up here sa mga forums. Time to step-up guys! I really do want gaming companies to invest here in cebu. Companies like sierra, ubisoft, THQ, Sqaure-enix, and the like... Making cebu the gaming hub of Asia!
yeah! DEATH! I rather call myself a OTAKU rather than a geek! ..... awww... otaku? yah.. otaku kay all around xa. to those who did'nt know what is otaku click here. lol lol...
