They continue to prove to it's customers they don't really give a damn about the quality of service they provide. They don't care at all. We always get pay per view of Manny's fights and have a small gathering. Family and friends come over bringing food and drinks to watch our national pride do all of us Filipinos proud. It was supposed to be great day but it ended up a disaster for us.
I subscribed to the Pacquiao vs Cotto fight a week before. When they activated my box someone from Sky Cable called and asked if the signal was fine. It had no problems at that time. The next evening when I finally had a chance to watch the previous Manny Pacquiao fights they were showing on channel 43, I experienced some signal interruptions so the next morning I called to report the problem. I left my name and number on their voice mail box. Nobody ever got back to me.
On the day of the fight, I got up early and turned on channel 43, the signal still had problems. I called and left 3 angry messages before they finally called back. They said they will just reset my connection and they can't send someone over anymore to check cause it's already to late. After the call I totally lost my signal. The lady on the phone said I might have to wait a few minutes for them to reset it. I was getting really really irritated cause the few minutes turned out to be almost an hour. I was already very agitated, so this time I had my wife call them and only then we got the signal back.
Family and friends started to arrive and we were able to see some of the preliminary fights. When the last scheduled bout before Pacquiao's fight started, we again had signal interruptions. My wife called them up again and that's when they finally sent someone to check. The first thing the cable guy told us when he arrived was they will just give us a refund and cut the feed. Imagine the big fight is almost starting and they will do that? We were all anticipating to see the fight. After a few minutes of talking to this guy he finally went over to the box to take a look. We were surprised when he started hitting the box. Turned out that the box had problems. He ran out saying he will replace the box and we were excited to hear that finally they were going to do something about it and hopefully we could see the historical fight without any problems.
A few minutes later, the cable guy rushed back in bringing with him another box. Again all of us were already really excited. Unfortunately and this really is very unfortunate, the box he got to replace the other box also had an error. The worst part is he also could not reconnect the original box I had cause they already deleted the link to the feed in it. The guy said all they could offer me now was a refund. Everybody was shocked and I was raving mad. My wife gave their office a call again and all they could say was their giving us a refund. I didn't ask for a refund what I wanted them to do was fix the problem. Their engineering staff won't even bother talk to us. I am really really very upset of what happened. This is really unacceptable. Sky Cable can not go doing this to their subscribers! I have had it with their lousy service and ending my subscription!
