Works and looks great at 1920x1200 resolution! Very smooth, under Windows 7 64 bit.

mr softouch, how is the latency so far? the reason i canceled my reservation in datablitz is because the game wont be supporting dedicated servers and knowing we live in the philippines, the only good way to connect with many players is through dedicated servers. i just want to make sure before i reconsider.

@ongkal: I only played single player (in fact, I am still playing it... not that easy).

I hear there be some PC elitists up in here.

PC elitists that I would probably run circles around any day of the week ... and twice on Sundays. Ask anyone who has gamed with me, I am pretty good with games. I think it's my fast fingers. It helps me play better and the chix dig it.

So we should ask the important questions when it comes to multi-platform play. What are the differences in the platforms? We can simplify this question by grouping the 360 and the PS3 in one group and the PC in the other.

The question then is, what is your aim in playing the game? For most people (everyone here), you probably play for fun. For others (no one here), you play for competition (no one here). No, those clans that you have don't count. You don't get paid. You do not receive monetary reward or a salary. In short, you cannot live off it. If you are lucky, you might get a cute little prize.

Now fun for you may perhaps be competition itself, in that case, your answer is clear. PC is where it's at. That however does not make you better. That does not make you more "hardcore" for if you really were hardcore, you would play all games regardless of platform. You simply define fun differently. I still can probably take you and your clan to town. All it makes you is a fanboy. If fanboy was in the dictionary, that would be you.

Now let's talk about controls. If you are the fanboy I speak of and/or do not play competitively, you will of course play on the PC. For most people who play the game objectively and in the right mindset, they will have fun regardless of platform.

Graphics are important. Sure many will rant and rave about the superior graphics the PC has, but the fact is ... how many people here play on a PC at 1920x1200? I play my console games at 1920x1200. I play the games the way developers meant for me to see it. Yet for all the elitism that fanboy PC gamers seem to have, the average resolution on PCs according to Steam is 1280x1024. I haven't used such a low resolution on my desktop in years ... even in games. So no, for those of you who aren't playing games in 1080p(1920x1200) with all the settings turned up, you aren't seeing a better game.

Networking ... oh wait, IW.net. LOL? Cry and moan about it, it isn't changing and for many, even in the Philippines, it's worked out better than so-called dedicated servers. The only people who really feel left out are those who don't understand the technology and those who just miss the illusion of control they had with their cute little dedicated servers.

There is also a monetary issue. Now while PCs capable of playing games are always more expensive than consoles, one can justify their purchase of a PC because they can tell their parents or wife/husband that it is used for something such as "school" or "work". Everyone knows that is a lie. If you cannot afford a console because it is clearly just a tool for entertainment. I have a few suggestions. If you are still living with your parents and getting your money from them ... then grow up quick, get a job. If you have a job but cannot afford a console, get a better job. If your significant other won't let you, then you aren't doing your job *wink**wink*. If you are still living with your parents and are 25 or older ... dude seriously?

There are games where it is better to choose the PC over consoles. Dragon Age for example offers better party control, more enemies at a time, and a mouse ... a mouse which hasn't translated to consoles as well as the FPS controls have. Modern Warfare 2 is not one of those.

If there are any educated arguments why the PC is better. Then please feel free to post. However I am of the opinion as gaming imperator that only my viewpoint is educated, but post anyway.

i have to agree with this. i play in PC but these fanboy arguments are way out of line. just because it doesnt suit your views doesnt mean you get to bash the others who dont join you. Although i did get mad at IW for releasing the news late and not answering questions til about a week after news broke out. right now, all i really want to know about MW2 is if the new IW Net system is indeed playable for us players in the Philippines. This is based on other P2P games ive tried playing like OFP2, FEAR2, and FC2. i need feedback before buying the game. Im currently downloading the game now because thats how bad i want it.(im no hypocrite) i own legit copies of all games in the series and this new release is P500 more expensive and the new multiplayer system has failed in other games so this explains my hesitation in buying it. Id be more confident if im using PLDT but im using GBB and we cant change lines since were moving next month.
