Matthew 10:22
wala gyuy giingon si Jesus nga , luwason mo or maluwas mo kung naa mo sa purgatoryo.

i agree rcruman is NOT bible contradictive ..
but here's what I should say:
the two main sources of faith are the Holy Bible and the Holy Christian Tradition. The latter part seems to be ignored by other religions because for them the Bible is enough. But try to consider the testimony of St. John, the Evangelist that the Bible cannot hold all that is of Christ. If it can hold all of Christ's marvelous works and teachings then the Bible should have been Christ himself! The bible is thinner as compared to the complete teachings of Christ that is why the Holy Spirit was sent to the apostles to direct them, to inspire them of God's salvific plan. Also, Christ and Mary has showed signs or even revealed themselves to the saints and venerables to affirm the works and dogmas of the Holy Fathers. Mary has appeared to Ven. Emmerich how the souls in purgatory are longing for our prayers.
