i consider them both to be an appetizer and a main course. imho, if it's a light soup or saladm then it's an appetizer. if it's heavy and has meat or lots of vegetables, then main course. but i could be wrong...
soups and salads para nako generally starters (agree ko jumpszilla...kon heavy ang soup puede main)...pasta can be a first course (1/2 of a serving) or can be the main course (whole serving)...
i'd really love to eat pasta for main course. and for appetizer, a little grilled shrimp with lemon butter sauce.

Yes steaks can be appetizers as long as ginagmay ang pag serve sama atong usa nagsulti like make it into strips and cubes but I am wasting my money on steaks as appetizers . I prefer the steaks as " steaks " hehhee cook to perfection .
I do love steak salad , it is a variation of the oriental salad . It has mixed greens , mandarin oranges , roasted almonds , diced tomatoes , diced cucumbers , bias sliced green onions , poppyseed dressing or balsamic vinaigrette , sesakme seeds . Medium rare please .
