comelec knowing that filipino always love to register the last minute should have made the deadline earlier, maybe august so that they can have a two month special registration... comelec should have also enough funds for the computer system... in one day some of the comelec offices here in cebu only register 50 applicants... taking alot of time...
for the registrants, sacrifice a little bit of your time.... register early..

Pobre man gud ang mga tawo bisan nalang pamilite sa habal2x padulong lungsod or siyudad wala gyud plus sa igasto pa sa pagkaon.

i say its a little bit of both.. government process w/c is very slow and people who acts on the last hour before lightning strikes..

I don't blame the COMELEC. Kay ngano mn gyd sa deadline mo register na ample amount of time was already provided for the people to register.

I remember few years back katong pagpa rehistro nko.
Sayo kaau sa buntag gipukaw ko sa ako papa aron makapa rehistro.

I disagree. That is just like asking the BIR to extend the deadline for the filing of tax returns. As early as last year COMELEC officials were out in daily talk shows announcing the start of the registration period. It won't look good for an institution who prides itself in being fair but firm to give in to accommodations. I also think the only ones who feel the COMELEC deserve blame are those having a hard time registering. BOO hooo.

The COMELEC did not neglect its duty to provide the public with ample information on how to register. It even has advertisements to provide the public with the advantages and the inclusive dates for the new voters to register.

Some of them are just too stubborn to wait for the last day before they register. Then, they complain for long lines when they could have registered earlier without any hassle at all.
