If we have not change our political party system, dynasty is not an issue. I hope the next president will ratify the two party system.

for me di mani issue ba.. kay if di mo nahan political dynasty, then ayaw mo vote oi sa politician.. duh
Well that just shows how shortsighted and stupid our Constitution is, it's just a hurriedly done mish-mash of random thoughts and "bright ideas" that its creators fabricated to suit their whimsical theories at the time and is in bad need of revision and simplification.
On the insinuation that requiring a college education infringes on rights and weakens democracy, I'd have to point to the example of the United States. Contrary to most beliefs, the U.S. is not a pure or true democracy (in the Greek sense) as it has never advocated universal suffrage for all elective positions. When it was founded, only the Electoral College could vote people into office because the founders believed that for a democracy to work, what is required are intelligent voters, NOT UNIVERSAL SUFFRAGE. In fact, for the same reason, they did not allow women to vote because they believed that women were emotional and could vote the wrong people into office.
Of course, I am not advocating that women be banned from voting. But certainly, there must be some justification for an Electoral College type of system here because frankly we cannot continue to survive as a democracy if the uneducated high school drop-outs continue to vote people like Joseph Estrada and convicted rapists into office.
mas ok tana nga kadto lang taxpayers ang allowed mo vote.. kay kadto ra man pud tax-payers mka experience sa effects sa bad choices sa others..its very unfair sa ato nga cge bayad tax pero same rata og say sa mga non-contributing populace..
dba ang definition sa citizen is apil na ang taxpayer? pls correct me if im wrong

There are lots of pinoys that is Higher in Intelligent but cannot afford for election campaign ...
The only way is to change the constitution and let the Government do the campaign fairly to all candidate ... wagtang jud na dynasty ...
actually its not shortsighted... our constitution embodies our ideals for a society... if we wont allow those who belong in the lower social schema to participate and practice their political rights--- then we just made into reality the labour-bourgeoisie revolution...
OPPression of the intellectuals..
if we want college degree to be a requirement to hold office we should at least make education free for all.. just to even the playing field...
not all who are educated are capable to hold office, there are some who have no college degree that have the leadership trait to move a nation..
as for erap... well the guy was a college drop out... and as for his track record.. he was a bad president.. but the guy was one good mayor in san juan during his term...
its a form of discrimination for me personally if we judge the person's leadership traits base on his educational attainment...
bisan kinsa pa ang e-puli nga leader diri pinas, dili gihapon mausab ato nasud basta daghan gihapon hangul ug wlay disiplina nga mga pilipino.
We should take responsibility on who's in power right now. Tutal, kita man ang ningbotar. Kung nagpadala ta, way lain sad-an. Choose wisely who you vote.
