Guyz pls tell me how to do this smoke effect...been looking for tutorial for this for months already but dont know how its done...heres the vid

the smoke effect start at about 0:13 of the vid..all inputs would be greatly appreciated..tnx


oh and i want to use sony vegas for this but if after effects is the only one who can do this trick then ill be grateful if u have any tutorials...tnx

use after effects bos.. just use fractal noise tweak some parameters then mask the layer nya e blend to screen mode....

bro i need step by step tutorial cause im a newbie to after effects...hehehe..

1. create composition (composition size must have the same as the source video)
2. create a layer on the composition
3. right click the created layer then select effect > noise > fractal noise (same effect ni siya sa photoshop filter cloud pero animatable lang ni siya by adjusting some parameters)
4. adjust the noise's size parameter, then animate the evolution parameter by clicking the watch button ... the fractal noise menu shoud look like this

5. apply a mask on the layer by right clicking the layer then mask.
6. try to manipulate the mask nga maporma ang smoke sa imo character..
7. since fractal noise is not a transparent noise.. you can use a blended mode on the layer.. pangitaa lang sa help.. nya select the screen mode.. (this mode would turn the black color to transparent)
