    BeoRific,

This proxy server is administered by our IT group remotely via hi speed leasedlines. LL ports that we're using for our main application is different from the port which you saw the IP you mentioned but, this is hosted in only one machine. To you, I may appear to have logged locally when in fact I'm not. The DSL port only serves as a backup management to the server and not for the audio application. That's all I can share with you.

    Uzer,

To explain further, the leasedlines(LL) ports I'm talking about acts as a extended audio cables and we're recording in realtime using these hi speed ports. This means that you can remotely record your guitar, in realtime, at 96KHz in 32bit depth with no hiccups. Simply consider the LL ports as the audio cables.

Don't worry guys I'm not angry with you... I understand.....

    Best wishes to all.

I dont get it... real or not, why cant you guys accept the fact that we are in the slumps. Yes, backyard is good, micmic is good but we cant say he's the best? right? if given the chance to be perfect, would you want to settle for the 2nd best? its just something i have observed here sa forums. once naay tao nga mu share sa iyang na hibaw-an, dudahan dayun ug awayon?? the hell man! crabe mentality. If he's a fake, then leave it be! you dont really need to hire a private investigator just to check whether the man is tellin the truth or not. Just keep the comments to yourself. He's just telling the truth about micmic's work. I'd have to agree with him about the quality that you get with backyard. Listen carefully... you'll see..

everyone is entitled to their opinion . . . in this case, however, @whisper claims he is a sound engineer from a big outfit in the US thereby proclaiming himself as an "expert witness". This is why we are trying to confirm if he really is because if he is not, then he is the perfect example of "CRAB MENTALITY". Backyard and micmic may not be the best but with tons of screaming Filipinos and bands wanting a booking with them and with "winning" credentials from Urban Dub, etc . etc .etc .etc .etc., they indeed are the best IN CEBU AND MAYBE IN THE PHILIPPINES.

@Redlites, so sorry bro but this line is disturbing: "He's just telling the truth about micmic's work".
So far, he has not pmed me. . . Let us check first if he is telling the truth about himself. Otherwise, why listen to a person whose motives are suspect anyway? Maybe this guy is opening a rival studio. . . maybe he is a she and is micmic's old girlfriend. . . OR maybe he is telling the truth about himself. Let's verify.
If you are talking about micmic's work as being overrated. . . why, why, why is backyard and micmic most sought after nga lisud man gani mokuha ug booking from them.

Music is about personal taste. Some people like your work and some don't. But, when you get awards, and tons of people want to listen to your songs, no "SCIENTIFIC SOUND ENGINEERING" will ever compete with thousands of screaming fans. If we are to be philosophical about it, this is part of life's mysteries. Remember Ray Charles and his controversial "church music"? Remember Picasso's "abstract" paintings? All of their work were frowned upon before by would be "experts" in their respective fields BECAUSE THEY CAME UP WITH SOMETHING DIFFERENT. But, people "mysteriously" liked them, and sikat kaayo sila nga now ALL THE EXPERTS FIND THEIR WORK TO BE BRILLIANT. Is this not true for micmic's case also?. . . . please give credit where credit is due.

As I said, people are entitled to their own opinion and their own taste in music. If ganahan mo sa iyang work then ganahan mo, if dili then it's not your type of music. Basta the hard truth of the matter is that DAGHAN GANAHAN. If you want to shoot down someone's work because you are some kind of "expert sound engineer", then show your credentials. Show us your "scientific" approach to why bati ang music ni micmic. Otherwise, tons of screaming fans will always SILENCE critics and that is the hard truth of the matter.

The offer still holds . . . . ako angkon sa long distance so we can also get whisper's side. . . if he is claiming to be who he/she is then I'm very open to listen . . . LET'S JUST BE CREDIBLE FIRST lang mga bro ha . . ..

    US landline and cellphone please . . . .

redlites, first of all, I was not being "hired" to check whisper out. It just so happens that this person seemed "interesting". Be careful with what you say.

Secondly, discrediting a person is different from offering constructive criticism. Saying that micmic needs improvement is different from saying micmic sucks...

Third, music is an art and as such is subject to conformity with each individual. What is good for you might not be good for others.

Fourth, claiming to be someone you are not isn't really good at establishing credibility. If we were in court, he'd be facing perjury charges by now.

... and lastly, yes we are backward in terms of technology and most of us are doing their best to offer the best that we can. You have to put into consideration that improvement needs big investments. In time, I am sure that startups will upgrade their equipment to offer better service and quality. Thinking that everything can happen instantaneously is worse than having a "crab mentality".

whisper, I would have believed you if you told me that you work as an offshore employee of Future Disc Systems... that you were based in Cebu and they transfer data to you thru the internet. .. besides, high speed leasedlines do not use Speedtouch DSL modems like what your IP is using... I rest my case

master beor, i wasnt talking bout you. i was just being general. libog lang ko ngano kontrahan sa tao ang mu claim nga kahibaw. if people are entitled to their opinion about another person, whould it be better to just keep it to themselves? its just a thought though. no need to ask for proof and to insult people. i have no grudges against you or anyone. i was just sighting my observation. if have offended you, i am sorry. See you around.
