Prostitution To Be Legalized...Pabor ba mo?

ilegalize na maayo pa pra naay control, mahatagan protection ang mga biga-on na lalaki ug ang mga babe na luoy kaayo... ug mabawasan ang mga gipang traffic na babae gikan sa mga probinsiya na gihimong prosti...

IMO, the governtment should really start implementing laws for crying out loud...mag strikto na unta ang pinas oi para ma discipline ang mga tao.
we can consider starting within ourselves HOWEVER..IF makit-an nato na strict ang implementations with our law, mu follow jud tanan tao. like the domino effect, it should start from the top pud...

Whether it is legal or not.... prostitution will always exist despite the church and the governments attempt to stop it.

That being said, I think it would be more of a question of regulating the industry. Not regulating it would push it to the underground.

Here are some of the safeguards that can happen if naay regulations:

1. Minimize child prostitution / illegal for women under 18 to be prostitutes
2. Weekly checkup for prostitutes for AIDS / VD
3. They will be regulated by the BIR like any other business so they contribute tax.
4. Part of the tax will go to livelihood programs and psychological sessions to educate these prostitutes and give them other opportunities. Prostitutes will have to undergo these classes that will teach them english, religion etc.
5. If ma regulate na ang prostitution, the government will have more legal basis to crackdown on underground prosti operations forcing them to go mainstream or else pay fine and go to jail.

For the religious, it is indeed a morally disturbing thought of legalizing something which is taboo but... the problem exists, you cannot just sweep it under a rug and turn a blind eye pretending it does not exist. We like to keep up appearances of ourselves but the reality is there already. So, this problem must be tackled head on if We wish to solve it. Simply condemning it and casting off the prostitutes as evil doers is not the way.

Women resort to prostitution as a means of earning fast money. Money for school, family etc. Prostitution is just a transitory profession with the average age between 18-29. Eventually, women will seek other means of income. I dont think anyone who goes into prostitution would prefer it if there were a stable high income job opportunity for them.

i agree with this one... there's also the interlocking problem of prostitution with drugs... parehas sa ila gi-sulti na daghan prosti sa opon kay daghn man sad drugs ddto...
