Default Cebu City Councilor removed Guardo boards

Cebu City Councilor Joey Daluz III has admitted that it was him who ordered the removal of the basketball boards owned by congressional aspirant Jonathan Guardo in Barangay Bulacao, saying the place where the boards were erected is owned by the city.

And because the city owns the property where the basketball court is situated, Daluz said the basketball boards that should be placed there are the ones with the logo of the city, not the ones owned by Guardo.

“The replacement of Guardo board with that of the official board of the city was to refrain anyone, including Guardo, to use the property of the city for partisanship,” Daluz said in a text message yesterday.

I think the boards were privately funded. Unlike the city hall, I think Lahug are using privately own funds for the boards, while city hall are using taxpayer money.

Karon ipamugos na nila ilang serbisyo kay duol na man ang election. Where were they in 2007, 2008 and 2009? Nganong karon pa man sila pakita?” de los Santos said.

"INSTEAD of tearing down their basketball boards, local opposition leaders asked Cebu City Hall officials to put up sports facilities in areas that remain “neglected.”

De los Santos said she will welcome any service or project from the City for her barangay, provided that protocol is observed.

She has a point man pud u know...

IMHO, garapalan naman sab cguro ni. arrogance naman sab ni...why BOPK people are running after them in implementing their sports program when there are many areas in the city that do not have basketball boards?

“We (City Government) own the property (basketball goals), and they used the goal.” Rama said.

but why for the past 3 yrs only now?
