Congrats sa ADMU for winning the UAAP crown.
Congrats sa ADMU for winning the UAAP crown.
tkz tkz. .wala ko kta sa live. .interview nlng akong na abtan.
my question is WHAT WENT WRONG?
UE raba ko laban ! !
Outplayed gyud ang UE bai... mao rana... then coach sa UE kay mi stick sa one on one plays... Paul Lee slashing, and Acuna just shoot and shoot(to no avail)...
^mao sad na brod.. ako questions ky
"asa c pari llagas? 0 field goals... GAME FIXING??"
"val acuņa... paka-hero?"
"asa ang team play?"
huhuhu.. na-sad ko.. pero sige lang.. anyone could have won that game.. that's the good.. and bad thing..
congrats ADMU and fans!
The UAAP's #1 Defense showed up, and UE couldn't do a thing about it. The lead was 15pts by halftime, and went up to 20pts with about 3 mins. left in the game.
It was unrealistic to expect UE to shoot FG-52.17% and 3PTFG-47.37% like they did in Game 2. I don't have the stats yet, but UE probably shot about 35% for the entire game.
- ateneo's outside shots were falling
- ue's shots on the contrary weren't, unlike in game 2 where they couldn't miss
- ateneo's help defense (big men) was doing a better job of closing out on the ue guards when they are able to penetrate
- ateneo's guards were able to penetrate, making espiritu expend more energy in helping out; probably why he gassed out during certain moments of the game, mahabilin na siya inag dagan sa offense
- rabeh was not taken out of hist game, unlike in game 2 napikon jd sya sa physical play
- salamat was able to contribute
- ue was reduced to a one-man show, aka paul lee's show.. other players stood around and watched lee do his thing... this reminded me of ateneo's team during tenorio's last year..
- ateneo contested the rebounds and loose balls
LOL at game fixing sa kang pari llagas.. basta naa player gani mag-off night, game fixing man dayon.. mao nay gitawag ug law of averages.. after shooting 8-11, he shot 0-7.. you can't expect him to shoot 73% for the 2nd straight game..
as for val acuna, that's always been his style of play, cgeg tira.. kato pa man na pag 1st elims game sa ateneo-ue wherein he shot well sa first half but cooled off in the 2nd.. the type of player that can win games but lose games also, ika nga, high risk-high reward.. also, sa system ni chongson, he's free to shoot..
as for team play, wa jd sila team play kay walay nanghinigo mao nga assists weren't there.. plus well covered ilang shooters.. na-reduce ra sila'g isolation plays for paul lee.. paul lee did his thing, espiritu played a decent game but those were just it.. wala'y nakuha nga spark si chongson sa iyang bench players..
^^^this is nice. bt who plays a superstars role in the pba. its captain hook..
captain hook was frustrated coz he was left out of the rp powerade team..hahahaha... his skills is very fundamental.. pass, shoot, teardrop shot, hook shot.. no crossovers, aerial maneuvers or killer jumpshots..
that's the same way, eric salamat is not part of any mythical five or smart gilas team.. he is also a fundamental player... easy lay-ups, 3pt saidshot... ateneo fan ko but di ko nahan ni salamat..
i'd go for nico salva,, the crossovers, spinmoves and aerial evasive maneuvers..
