i download a movie which is an avi and when i played it to my windows media player, it states "use window media player, codec not updated".. so i look for an update then install to my laptop. suddenly upon installing it or almost installed, it stop and says "codec error, cant locate the folder"..how do i fix this one?please help guys..thanks a lot!

wala kaau ko nka "G" sa imo problem bro, try installing other media player softwares like k-Lite Codec pack lng sa.

bagdown pa man ila server bro..i cant access pa.but na try nman sd nko ganina sa lain nga softwer but mo appear lang pgka end nga "can't locate" daw. i don't know if unsa iya gi mean nga dli ma locate.

ffdshow is a DirectShow filter so maka-play ka imo video files sa Windows Media Player or any player nga maggamit ug DirectShow.
one thing nga dili nako ganahan sa k-lite and other codec packs is that they install too many codecs nga dili jud nimo magamit ang maka-cause jud ug incompatibilities sa ubang codecs nga default na daan pag install sa OS.

Mikz be aware some movies nga ma download sa internet that will launch your Windows Media Player, mo download na siya ug iya kaugalingon nga codec but that codec is a virus.
