Ako workmate, the only Sillimanian to ever passed the PhilNITS (well, coz every SU taker wasnt really serious * suroy and pockey money ray apas* ) Anyways, he is also a slacker yet passed without even studying o_O.
And yet even with PhilNITS, I'm still earning twice than him o_O
Some companies require that you take and pass PhilNITS. Those companies usually sponsor in-house reviews.
Passing PhilNITS opens opportunities, however, it does not guarantee that you will earn more than your peers.
PhilNITS exam is basic/general IT knowledge. You may or may not study, but still be able to pass. Depends on how much knowledge you really have about your craft (and kung dili ka kulbaan during exams)
PhilNITS certification serves as an assurance for JP companies that you really know what you say you know.
I have taken and passed PhilNITS, although wala pa nako ni nagamit aside from being a requirement from my previous company :P
sayang kaayo ni sauna..kay sagot unta mi sa CHED buh.... october man mi ato nag take sa free review sa PHILNITS ..tapos march graduate man mi.. pasar mi, as in pasar nga free mi review... wa lang mi nadayon kay ilaha diay gpangita kay october graduates, di march. kay mag review start kay november. tsk.tsk. sayanga lagi. kami jud ato sa akoa mga kabatch ang nangapasar.... nasayangan gud sa amoa ang taga CHED
mas sayon tun.an ang PM exam. so those who would like to take, pasara lang jud ninyo ang AM part daan kay kapoi jud review og balik. sa akong experience, i passed the AM last october then ang PM this april hehe tracing of codes lang jud ang kailangan for PM and the rest kay stored knowledge na lang (C and java syntax and stuff, DB, networking)
