I think this should be address to all employees in general. deli lang sa call agent. murag pangdaut naman ni sa mga call agent. I was once an employee (not a call agent) and resigned to start my own. But I never look down to anybody who is in their carreer as i had been in their shoes before. In fact I admire them for at young as they are now earns a salary of P50K. In operating ur own business (new), that net 50K is not easy to earn. one has to have enough revolving fund (not unless networking ka hehehe). In reality, self owned business has high risk the same as working to a company that you will never know you might be affected in economic crisis.

Im sure the thread starter is a businessman. but how stable? what if the door next to you opens the same business, or every corner has the same type of business you have. is your business stable? My point is, as a businessman we are also full of risk. either way, employee or businessman, one has to be financially educated and we should manage our income wisely. not all businessman/ self employed retires with lots of money. there are lot of businessman also retires poor. there are also executives/employees who retires at 50 and doesn't have to work..

I understand both side of the wall. i've been there on both sides. depende ra gyud ni sa diskarte. para sa mga young who are their career, and earning a good salary, just be wise where to put your money.

You will not be affected by an economic crises if you know how Financial Markets work.
Every recession has greater opportunity to buy shares but if you don't have that know how and vision definitely you are scared about economic crises.

Remember what Warren Buffet says during the US recession "I buy American stocks". Some people called him crazy but these people call him crazy are bunch of people who has no long term vision and lack of know-how and experiences in investing.

He also states that "be fearful when others are greedy, be greedy when others are fearful".

When people are in panic, there is an opportunity. <-- Remember this

pustaanay ta..kanang 54k nga call center agent salary.. inig ka tiguwang nimo mag huna huna ka mag business..

remember... dili ka pirme kusog.. oo naa ka mga benifits etc etc.. but as life goes on.. negligible nana imoa mga pensions..and benifits...pero if naa ka business labi na passive.. bisan di na kaya sa imo lawas..naa ka kwarta madawat...Thats the real meaning of FREEDOM...

HEALTH AND AGE.. dont forget that!..unta maayu lng lawas ninyo permi ug dili matangal sa trabaho...or else..pagtigum nlng mo daan..

I'm not against BPO..especially IT jobs... proud mga pinoy with that field.. but kanang mga job.. nga kasab-an ka.. insultuhon.. magpakalouy ka for sales.. degrading sa pinoy.. unta IT jobs nlng naa sa IT park... kana man gyud bagay diha...software developers, web designs, technical support...except sales, travel ug credit cards..etc etc.. dapat IT related..
Its time for foreigners nga mag dependent nato..dili kay mura ta ug slaves nila..
Para.. if in demand ta...kita mag dictate ug mudako pa maayu salary sa pinoy..

nice thread...ako callcenter agent man ko...pero wala man ko na offend...depende rajud sa mindset sa tao...and as for our professionals not able to practice in their field or degree, its not their fault, our "higher" educational system is already good but not good enough and it is not tailored to the needs of the industry and society...our primary and 2ndary still nids some work (but thats another topic and debate)...I agree nga daghan EMO sa callcenter...and my co-callbois and girls always ask me nanu dili manka emo? i simply tell them...despite having a routinary job..I still let my imagination run loose and my brain run-around-that mean i am still contiually learning and improving (like learning financials, and lots of planningx2 for my money)..and not to mention nga noctornal ka + shagitan ug yawyawan pakag KANO, even di aau KUNO ka affected it does take a toll on you...we are only human...once a gain it boils down to perspective or mindset...nay uban taw in BPO nga contented na sa pagka employee kay career growth...I agree career growth is good (iya na opinion)..to an extent...but lahi man ako plano sa kinabuhi ...so mao na...bow!

LOOK AT THE BIG FRIGGIN DIFFERENCE GUYS! palabot ra mong slaves mo sa mga foreigners? come on! the only way to get out of this economic mess we have is to build more businesses for more chances of employment, especially entry-level employment. tanawa after decades guys, pustaay ta daghan nasad emerge new businesses from the retired workers. bahala gamay, basta kanunay.

IF YOU WANT TRUE FREEDOM, BUILD A BUSINESS FOR FILIPINOS TO WORK IN! THIS GOES TO ALL PATRIOTS!
We share the same thought bro.
And also im a Nationalist. I love this country dearly.

You give me a new insight & indeed u r right.
OFWs means Filipinos going out to share the salary grade of the developed outside countries.
while BPO companies bring their company here to share the salary grade of our poor country.

In effect, they save a lot. and we thought the salary they are giving is a lot already.

Y wont we dream of building our own call center instead & let the foreigners work for us...

    Go... New-Generation Nationalist Filipino Entrepreneurs!
