but its not enought to outperform the fast intel setup ( though intel mobos are crappy except for the xseries )

but can AMD rival the performance power of X58+ i7?

dont forget i5 + p55 is coming. it had already invaded the turf of ATI + AMD x4 9550.

intel e8400 | 3.0GHz | 6MB L2 cache | 1333FSB . ( with a little overclocking, it can reach 3.6GHz : like mine. and shove off past the C2Q 6600 performance | AMD x3 ) : php4.5k to 6k

intel g31 ( no need to go p35 or higher, if ur not into SLI or CROSSFIRE ) : php1900

2 x 2GB or 2 x1GB ( i bought mine just php500 per 1GB ) Kingston DDR2 800

any php5k VC is great enough for gaming, but not for bragging rights

1 x 80GB SATA II for OS : php 1900
1 x 200GB for files : php 2500

1 x SATA DVDRWITER : php1300 << Fastwind
