This will serve as our online practice game and proposed fall league schedule headquarters.

All questions, suggestions and other issues related to our bi-weekly practice schedules will be discussed here since we only see each other those days.

Due to the unexpected attendance of more than 40 players last night, we're planning to add an extra hour to accommodate all the regular members (Saturday/Sunday park players and players at old gym) effective next week Oct. 9 and 11 (tentative) pending approval from school administrators.

Game format for the proposed 7:00-11:00 schedule will be as follows:

First 20 players (7:00-9:00):
Game 1 - First 10
Game 2 - Second 10
Game 3 - Winner Game 1 vs Winner Game 2
Game 4 - Loser Game 1 vs Loser Game 2
Game 5 - (Bonus Game) Winner Game 3 vs Winner Game 4

Games 1 to 4 will be played with 22 minutes each while the 5th game will be played according to remaining minutes left before the start of the Second 20 (9:00-11:00).

Second 20 players (9:00-11:00):
*follow the same format as First 20.

Regular park players and players at the old gym are advised to REFRAIN FROM HANDING OUT INVITATIONS to new players for the time being pending the outcome of this proposed schedule extension.

Or else WE WILL BE FORCED TO GIVE THEM YOUR SLOT.

We will strictly implement the 40 player limit so we can all play the minimum two games each.

Starting next week, Friday Oct. 9, newcomers -players who have never played at the Frank D O'connor Park (see map above) and at the old gym- will be listed at no. 41 and onwards and would only be allowed to play if the regular players (park boys and players at the old gym) won't reach our 40 player limit. Otherwise, they can't play.

The primary purpose of this practice schedule was for the Saturday/Sunday players at the park and players at the old gym to have a regular bi-weekly basketball practice facility and we'll intend to keep it as such.

Another option would be:

Activate the Tuesday schedule and assign 35 players on that day and another set of 35 on Fridays with a 30 player limit that will play the entire 3 hours on a first-come-first-serve-basis. We (Dexter, Melvin and me) will determine the practice day assignment and the only favor we ask is your commitment to play regularly on assigned days so we can maintain both days and pay our dues on a timely manner.

Starting Friday Oct. 9, we will implement (COMPULSORY) the wearing of white and black (home and away) shirts for all our practice sessions. No black / No white shirt, NO PLAY. This would enable the referee to focus more on other violations (ie 3 seconds, fouls etc..) instead of determining which player play for which team. It would also make the scorers job a lot easier, no more changing scores at every half (court change) - we can save more minutes doing this and hence play more games.

You can bring your old shirts/jerseys (1 black and 1 white), old reversibles (black/white) or buy/order your black/white reversible jersey together with the group.

Since the school admin is very busy these past few weeks, we were advised to come back by last week of October to discuss both the requested 1 hour additional (on Fridays) and the Tuesday night schedule.
