the one who got away was my one great love and he wasn't my boyfriend to begin with... he was my first crush in high school, he's my brother's barkada... then when i reached college, that was the time he began to notice me, i could still remember the first smile he gave during my debut and at the back of my mind kept telling myself, "finally he got to notice me!"

since then he became our frequent guest at home, the next thing i knew he asked for my brother's approval if it's ok to court me.. that whole week was like a fairytale to me that his proposal was still vivid to me and even his expression as he asked me things which i've been longing to hear from him.. but i turned him down coz i was too young back then and i promised my dad that i'd finish college before i get into any serious relationship... that was the last time i saw him when i broke his heart...

3 years came by so fast... i finally graduated and we saw each other again on a sad circumstance.. we met during my brother's wake... seeing him again made me realize how much i still love him... i was about to tell him that everything's okay now but i never had that chance coz he introduced me to his wife (weeks pa lang jud tawn!)... i mourned for two losses dat night.. my brother's death and my one great love... but the night before the funeral, he told me that he still can't forget me coz i gave him his first heartache... that night proved to us both that we still both have the spark... but it was too late na...

last time i saw him was valentines of this year and for the first time he kissed me on the cheek and felt the electricity once again everytime we are too close with each other... before we bid goodbye, he introduced me to his son... his smile is still so endearing to me which i can't get enough of...

the question is.. what if i said yes to him the night he proposed? what if i broke my promise to my Dad? what if kami jud noh?

well, there goes the man who got away... my one great love...

yeah ur right kate... what's comforting to know is up to now, he still considers me special in his life and had so much respect for me when he knew why i turned him down coz of my being an obedient daughter.. though nasakitan sya but na proud cya for me... hahayss...

I'm happy for him man pod kate coz he has his family na and he finally straightened up hehehe... he will never be my biggest regret but my one great love hehehe...

i've read somewhere you'll only have your One true love...unya ang mga musunod na musud sa imuhang life kay love man nimo..pero not as much as the one you truly love....haiz* kasakit..... samot na atong gipakita ka sa iyahang anak....it could've been yours.... but maybe you two are just not meant to be...however cliche it may sound...

You have a point madz about having only ONE GREAT LOVE... i still kept searching for someone like him even with my ex before.. everytime we had rough patches, i'd end up thinking of him just to comfort me. There was even a time when my ex and I were at the mall and bumped into him, twas so embarrassing coz I was blushing while we exchanged pleasantries and introduced him to my ex. Gosh he still had his way of looking at me as if I was 18 when he first proposed... hahayysss... he never lost his touch hehehe...
