I recently installed a genuine windows vista home basic and im not familiar with its features. what will i change in the settings to be able to preview pics in a folder? and another thing is im using a laptop and i want to know the remaining time of my battery life and it only shows the percentage...

what will i change in the settings to be able to preview pics in a folder?

You can enable or disable the thumbnail icon feature for image files.

1. Open Control Panel.
2. Open Folder Options.
3. Select View.
4. Uncheck the box for Always show icons, never thumbnails to enable thumbnail icons. Check the box to disable thumbnail icons.
