excuse me, it's not my PE. i think you got the wrong person. lol.

I had recently learned it, and I thought about sharing what I have learned. But if you're going to assume that there is no battoujutsu from the USC dojo because you weren't taught it, well, it's up to you. Telling me to get my facts straight is like telling me you know everything about the kenjutsu being taught there, which obviously you don't and I don't blame you guys for it.

If you want names, here they are: I practiced Ishikawa Kenjutsu and Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryuu under Isagani Batayola-sensei.
bro, maybe you were just misunderstood. and yes, i agree with you, battoujutsu is just a part of kenjutsu. ask ko bro, battoujutsu d i ng ishikawa ug niten ichi ryu? i'm not a battoujutsu practitioner, but i practice some other art. but i've heard some people mention it. and i was just wondering, with your years of experience that you can elaborate and enlighten me. kapoi au research gud. hehehe.

I meant PE in general. Please read between the lines.

Ishikawa and NIR are schools. I'm beginning to question if you really have practiced kenjutsu. I think it's better if you come clean.

Hmmm.... you're deviating actually. The discussion here is whether or not there is a battoujutsu ryu taught in USC Main. The answer is yes. If you've read rhei's reply thoroughly, you'd find that the battoujutsu taught there belong to the Kage-ryuu curriculum. Batayola-sensei and the other seniors who have been training with him the longest are well-versed in more than one Kenjutsu ryuu or style. If you also read my other reply, I mentioned the styles I studied in reply to A-L-R post that I don't know what the name of the school is. There is no name for the dojo, but those are the styles we studied and by whom we were instructed. I was also under the impression that the battoujutsu I was taught is part of the Ishikawa curriculum, but rhei corrected me in YM.

Misunderstood? Yes, you misunderstood me. But I hope this clears this up. The point is, I was just talking about how real battoujutsu is and then this A-L-R butts in. You also said

yeah you're indeed right. There is NO Battoujutsu in USC Main
You agreed with A-L-R then. How can you two be so sure that there is indeed NO battoujutsu taught in USC Main? Like you said, you did not take the PE and you practice some other art. Why would you agree with him then? Why would you even know? Okay, someone tells you about it. It's natural for your source to assume that there is no battoujutsu mainly because it wasn't taught to all who study under Batayola-sensei. You could've pointed it out in another way, but you stressed "NO" despite the fact that you didn't even study under Batayola-sensei. You concluded right away, hence the answers you got. Nganong muingon man ka nga wala jud?

You two were actually being rude and bordering on the point of insulting because you were trying to point out the fact that I was making up stories of learning battoujutsu in USC Main. That's clearly A-L-R's point. However, I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Di ko muassume na pareha mo ug point. This might just be a misunderstanding as you said.

We reiterate our point. There is battoujutsu in USC Main but not all of those that enter the dojo are taught it. Rhei had been taught battoujutsu techniques earlier than I was, way back in 2004. I was only taught recently when I returned to practice.

You won't find any information on Ishikawa-ryuu by the way. If you're interested on Hyoho Niten Ichi Ryuu or would want to know something about it, I'll refer you here: Hyoho.com That's the official website of the Japan-based dojo we are affiliated with. Better yet, if you want to get some information, you could visit the dojo any Saturday of the month and talk with the seniors there.

Nothing personal. I'm always in for a healthy discussion. Thank you and good day.

@rhei & seishiro: I got your point, battoujutsu was taught in baseline and/or usc main and usc tc(PE), but.....it is under the kenjutsu session, there is really no separate session intended for battoujutsu. you could not really say that it is battoujutsu alone, because just recently, grappling was also incorporated during sessions, and before, aikido was also taught after kenjutsu practices. you know what? you're really good with research and theories, i know that ishikawa and NIR are schools. lol.
And if you really question that i practice kenjutsu and would ask how many years i've been practicing, we'll see you at the mats, and that's every saturday 3pm-5pm.
to tell you frankly, you are extremely offensive and defensive at the same time. my replies were just straight and i'm not even rude to you. why are you blowing your anger on me and not to A-L-R, he's the one who's questioning your integrity. and oh, i was just agreeing on his statement, because that's what i know. and by the way, i also practice aikido (if you ask what other art i'm practicing).
It's good having a healthy discussion also, and to clear up misunderstandings.
God bless on your battoujutsu practices.

Like I said, it might be a misunderstanding. So I said I will not assume. I'm not blowing my anger on you. I'm just pointing out something para maklaro that's all. Like I said, nothing personal. I was only pointing out something. We misunderstood the posts that's all. Sorry if nakainsulto bloodyred. It was not my intent jud.
