with that budget try to look for Compaq or Asus brand. i was able to find one at Thinking Tools with specs Dualcore 2.1Ghz, 2GB ram, 160HD with a not bad GeForce 9400GS onboard videocard, it was a bday gift for my sis. it just cost 32T flat cash.

what model... im pretty sure i can find a cheaper price than 32k


@loner_boi: acer and lenovo are also good options. G430 lenovo is a good option for your budget.
led lcd na siya. several thousand less than 30k pwedi paka ka upgrade in some specs like bigger hdd or more ram.i paid little over 30k for mine fully loaded with double the ram double the hdd.

^^ ana gyd na since i presume it's 32-bit OS. max upgrade would be 4 gigs (refer to ur RAM specs)

@TS, sorry ha, pero mosingit sad ko. Am also planning to buy a laptop and we have the same budget, around 30k. We also have the same use, surfing, light graphics, watching movies, DVD burning, light playing. And maybe this might help you too

How about the New Compaq 510 VF584PA

Compaq 510 Notebook PC Small & Medium Business

It already has a C2D T5870 Proc and a LED Screen. The price is actually very interesting for a C2D laptop at Php 29,950. Any opinions on this model? Or any opinions about Compaq in General? (good or bad)

Or the MSI CR400x- T65+. It also has a C2D T6500 Proc, with 2Gb Mem but with LCD screen. Also pegged at Php 29,999. Is this also good?
