why hide your belief? anyways this thread is not about you.. it's about putting the religious faith to its rightful place

Thanks Tarps..please bear with me.
Schizophrenia is any of several psychotic disorders characterized by distortions of reality and disturbances of thought and language and withdrawal from social contact...hmm I never heard of religious folks withdraws from social contact- quite the opposite you know.
Tarps arguments are part of people's lives...the difference is intensity. Reactions and counter-reactions, that's how the universe works. Even within our own mind we seems to argue with our self...quite amazing.
Faith requires no evidence, ti's true..it's how one look at his existence that makes him decide what value he will put in it. Reason simply is a consoling thought that what I come to believe is grounded (apparently).
Our belief can not be amounted to nothing, we build our lives on it. That is why it is a personal thing for everyone; Me my God and in your case, Logic...if it seems to get hot when people starts demolishing each others belief it's because in doing so they are really in the process of reducing each other's existence. A very Darwinian process..
Can we find meaningful life without being illogical?
nice nga video. nakapakutaw sa akong utok.
naa lang koi comment sa uban participants ani nga thread bah: pasikatay ra kaayo. tsk tsk.
but i forgive these people though. they take their beliefs seriously so hat's off to that. but we should always be reminded nga once natarong na nato ug share kung unsa ato nahibaw-an about Him but dili gehapon mu-agree ang ato gipangstoryaan, let them be. let's respect each others' gift of FREE WILL.![]()
quite true.. i might have gone overboard with schizophrenia.. perhaps schizotypal would be much appropriate
I beg to differ though reducing each other's existence is not a Darwinian process.. the other points you mentioned are quite true..Tarps arguments are part of people's lives...the difference is intensity. Reactions and counter-reactions, that's how the universe works. Even within our own mind we seems to argue with our self...quite amazing.

The meaning of life can only be found within yourself and logic for me is a necessary tool to find it.
Sir, philosophy and science themselves revolves around logic, they cannot and will not be classified as part of those faculties if they do not satisfy logic in the first place.
Again, you do not need to use logic to prove a deity that exists, by nature and with respect to how it is started, in a very illogical manner and state.
That is why you call it "FAITH" on the first place, it is illogical in the first place and only exist(needs further explanation) if you believe.if it's not logical? then why believe on such?
@malic and tarps indeed...
@tarpolano, but sir, what you are doing right now, this "logic vigilance" campaign, don't you notice that you are starting to sound like those fundies you despise?
