basketball is a TEAM game Not an INDIVIDUAL game. Pinoy Basketball should follow European game of basketball and not NBA type of basketball. juz my 2 cents

1. system- naanad jud ta sa pba style of playing. dili unta dapat ing-ani ky it spends much energy, requires much talent and reaps less. if players are trained and developed to play it the european way-ball movement, off the ball movement, picks, spot up shooters, kaya ra man nato mulahutay ana nila ba..
2. grassroots program- club-style training should be given to those that have the talent or want to learn. they start playing young, get the needed experiences and the training is really focused on the kids until they age and mature for professional level play. this has been the style of football and basketball clubs in europe. they're the ones watching these kids grow. admit it, in the near future, we simply have no chance against asia's best. this has to be a long-term project. and injected into this project is #1: the system
3. politics- a mid-east football team was suspended by FIFA because the government was meddling with the country's FA[football association]'s affairs. hopefully Fiba helps us with this. SBP must be a separate, non-government body.
And even if you say that SBP or BAP or whatever is an independent body, these annoying politicians and tycoons with political powers are always around. Such is the power of these politicians that we just could not let them go away and mind their own business and leave basketball to those that know.
-BAP and SBP must stop bickering. the battle between both has negatively affected our image and performance in the international scene. instead we should be focusing on moving forward. kusug pa jud kaayu ta mudamgu ug olympics yet we dont take the necessary measures to achieve that dream. dream ra jud siya gihapun intawn...
