Default Just to clear some things...

    Hi Guys!

I'm not connected to Cignal or PLDT but I just want to help out in clearing some things others posters have trouble in understanding:

The brand currently has three packages. The first one is the cheapest which gives you 20 channels and some audio channels for 390/month. Pretty reasonable IMHO esp if other options are Dream and GSAT. You also get a box that only has RCA input so definitely you can't have HD. However the video signals are way better than the competition.

The second option is HD channels only but this is lame even if you get a different STB (from Humax) which has an HDMI output to facilitate the Hi-def content. It is lame because you pay 500 Php for only two channels.

The third option is the combo one with 20 SD and (unfortunately) 2 HD channels. You get the Humax STB so even your SD cignals gets a boost. cost is 790/month.

All packages have around 5800 for installation. It is quite pricey and the dish is HUGE. If you have cable option in your area, you might want to wait it out until the company releases new channels.

Mind you Skycable HD also has 2 channels only (discovery and history) for almost the same price so it is actually sort of reasonable. There is always the choice to start with the cheapest then upgrade when the HD channels increase.

Customer service mentions that would have more channels in August but it never happened. They do have free specials in SD and HD like the Pacquiao vs Hatton and Viloria free for all subscribers.

Mura mubayad ka ug 1.5 k or such para sa laing tv but i'm not sure if the subscription fee would increase. If that is the case, maypa magpataud na lang ug laing dish (musaka lang imo installation costs)

I don't see any interesting channels in their channel lineup...
HBO is fine, but most of the other are local channels only.
Bio is a free channel from NSS-11.
Where is cinemax, discovery channel, CI, NGC and all the other?

So in short there is no decoder that caters SD and HD with HDMI connectors at the back ? I wonder why they have HD only decoder, i believed all HD decoder is backward compatible with SD.

I believed this Cignal will has a hard start since even there tech dont understand what HD really means, HD with RCA OMG.

    HD only decoder ? tsk2x...

SD + HD decoder with component video or HDMI is the answer for all !!

the only reason why I was supposed to get cignal is BTV because Dream doesnt have it yet and there is no cable in my area.

but they're not giving the promo anymore so i'd rather wait for more options. wahehe
