Just want to have an Internet Connection

hi everyone...im currently studying in a university..and is now living in a Dormitory where the Dorm manager does not allow us to have an internet connection unless we provide her with the proper papers from the University..but the University doesnt allow us to get one coz they say that we already have one "Wi-Fi"..but the signal could only reach the front door of our dorm..and im up in the 2nd floor..

.. my only option, aside from going through all those processes, is just to find a USB type modem because this doesnt need any antennas to be placed outside, with a reasonable amount to pay. preferably a monthly plan..

need ur suggestions....

by the way im in dumaguete city...we have smart and globe providers here..

plzz help me...just want to have a reliable, fast, cheap or not, internet connection!..

don't waste your money on a monthly plan when you can access the free Wi-Fi.
all you need is build a better, more powerful antenna and point it towards the campus Wi-Fi antenna.

try to inquire smart/globe wireless center if naa ka time para mka ask ka nla and explain sad sila. I would suggest if ganahan ka dha dorm nmo nga wireless imo gamiton para internet connection.

the most ideal would be the smart bro usb modem..but dli man gud xa unlimited so i wud prefer ag kadtong smart bro share it or,,kadto ila plan nga tag 1500,,.ako man gud prob is that im 17 nd dli man cla msgot nga musulod ko ug contract..

Bro, suggest try ka sa amo Globe Wimax - postpaid wireless internet. Naa ni external antenna like smartbro but pwedi ra dili nimo ipataud kung ok ang signal. Meaning, ibutang lang jud duol sa window para kusog2x signal.

Php795/mo - 512kbps internet only
Php995/mo - 512kbps internet + landline

Ofcourse, need to verify pa imo area if naa ba wimax signal.
