Default Culinary Schools in Cebu -- Suggestions anyone?

I'm looking forward to going to a culinary school next year, I'm just not sure where to go. And also I need more information about the cost, how long, and what I could get after taking the course (diploma, certificates, etc.)

PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOU GOT SUGGESTIONS... I'd appreciate it. A lot!

if you feel in your gut that you really want to be a chef and nothing else you go here.
Philippine School of Culinary Arts | a culinary arts school in cebu
    www.icaac.net
    either of the two
they are not cheap mind you. a diploma would cost you around 400 thou.

    i went to psca.
and i have no quarrel with icaac.
both schools give the utmost quality of education in the culinary field.

if you want to learn how to cook.
there are a lot of cooking school in cebu that can teach you'
    even tesda does that.

there is a difference between a real culinary school and a cooking school.
i despised the fact that there are some schools that regards themselves as a culinary school or offering culinary courses. a big slap in the face and an insult to the culinary world.

i met a lot of so called cooks during my time in the industry who graduated at a goverment funded program. and all of them don't know sheet in the kitchen you spend half of your time training them and all of the blames and mistakes are thrown unto you.

maygani nag open nalang ko ug kaugalingun nga biz. hehehe.

    hope that i helped you.

    As reading their website...

I fell in love with ICAAC ^_^ coz detailed man gyud ilang web compare sa PSCA...

well after getting the 2year course sa ICAAC you have a choice to where your internship will be taken. It can be in local, UK, Australia and USA.... waaaaaah UK is my dream land!!!!

    sir,

mind you, in a dictionary, culinary means relating to a kitchen or cookery.

so ayaw i look down ang any kind of school. usa ra ang point sa culinary school: to teach anyone about cooking. chef is a term coined by the french as the "sosyal" equivalent of the term cook.

mao na maski unsa pa na ka nindot ang cooking school, the only purpose of such establishment is to teach cooking.

mm i could give two options ICAAC and PSCA. they're pretty competitive schools for culinary crafts and i think that by looking at their website wont give you any help at all. I suggest you visit these schools and see what good each has to offer... you should see the the kitchen of course. =]]

    in a very literal term.
so it would be better to be a cooking school rather than a culinary school.

and the term chef is not sosyal.
a cook and a chef is not the same. mam.
to be honest only pinoys coined that bieng a chef is a glamorous job or sosyal.
iv'ed been working in hotels and restaurants before and i tell you there is nothing glamorous about being a chef. when i started working i was dirt to them.
you have to work your ass off more than 10 hours a day. and give all your best and the quality of work your executive chef and the establishment demands of you dili na sya murag karenderia nga pa tuyok tuyok ra kag karahay it is a very demanding job and never a walk in the park.
the only way for you to survive is that you have to be mad or you really love what your doing.
the title of being a chef is not something that you can buy. it is something that you have to earn.

the reason why i commented harshly on my first post is because of the reality that they are not a culinary school. i hated the fact that some schools use that term. to be honest kami pa ang nag crash course sa mga maesto ug maestra nila sa basics ug ang mga lesson plan gi pang kopya ra na sa amo.
i won't say what school kay basig ma ek ek ko.
and btw dili lang puro luto ang gina tudlo sa usa ka culinary school, the most important thing they teach you is discipline. sadly na dala ra na sa uso uso nang uban ngara. mao daghan mga establishments that offer "CULINARY"
when i studied culinary school way way back. nobody heard of it, never even registered on the radar
and only a very few of us then.

    in short.
if you want to learn how to cook so you can feed your family and friends a nice meal then go to a cooking school.

if your calling is to be a chef then go to a culinary school.

hmmm well good school teach good quality like sa psca and icaac pang international jud ang quality unlike sa lain schools.

some schools says that they are a culinary schools but in the practical world they dont even met the quality in a high class restaurants.

    ordinary school = local jobs
    international school = international jobs

depende na na kng naa ka connection sa gawas. but sa PSCA and ICAAC di na ka mag lisod kay international accredited ang quality
