Yeah right WHATEVER. Have you seen the Youtube video of that interview? Look at the classroom! Compare it to our public schools! At least their classrooms look first-world in quality.. ours look like nipa huts and the kids are like sardines packed in a small tin can. Their children look well fed whereas ours sometimes look like they come from Africa. So tell me, despite the so-called horrible corruption in China, why they are able to fund decent-looking schools, oh is it because of our INCOMPETENCE?

We are now considered more corrupt than Indonesia!

And loyalty is either bought or coerced there? And here it's not? In what Philippines are you living in, really. Look I understand the need to feel good about ourselves, but lying and deceiving ourselves into being better than other countries is not going to do us any good. We are not better than China. And we most certainly ARE NOT BETTER THAN JAPAN. Whoever said corruption is SOP in Japan is being over-dramatic and 100% wrong. The amount of money lost to corruption in Japan is so small, as to be insignificant compared to ours so please, lets stop spreading lies to feel better for ourselves, we are the worst country in Asia period when it comes to corruption, in fact we are the worst country in Asia outside North Korea and Bangladesh.

And then if you compare our classrooms in the province to their classrooms in the province? I think theirs will still be better... at least concrete ilaha atoa intaon wurag mga nipa hut, kung masunog pa lang daghan gyud mamatay.

That movie was about schools in the remote mountain villages of China. We also have them here, shown on TV where students of some remote villages in Mindanao have to take the their banca down the river before they can arrive at their schools.

When it comes to infrastructure, lupig na gyud ta sa China oi, without a doubt.

At least in the news article, Pres. Hu Jintao even acknowledged that corruption exists and they are trying to eliminate it. And there are government officials that have been found guilty and executed in China already. Here in the Philippines, ang BIR ug Customs ug uban pang government officials, klaro kaayo nga corrupt kay blackmail and extortion na gud gigamit ana nila.
