i'm part of the new account of convergys right now and the training starts tomorrow. regarding the bond, yeah i can really recall when i read their contract last thursday. it was stated that if ever you get terminated or you resign for whatever reasons within 4 months from the start date. you will pay the company with the amount of 20,000 Php as some sort of refund for the company expenses of your training materials used. it is pretty much scary to hear but if you know your rights (labor code) this is not a legal action gyd as it goes against the rights of the employee.

if kasohon gyd ni siya, cguradong pildi ang company ani ky Labor Code n ilang gi contra that is why dili n sila mo pugos nimo ug pabayad should you ever decide to discontinue your employment nila. im not sure though if mabayran ba gihapon ka sa number of days you spent while nag training ka.

@esprugodoys: bro, congrats sau. anyways, lahat po ng contract within the country are subject for DOLE approval. it means that it has already abide with operating procedures and protocols mandated by that govt agency. it means that if you signed and breached what uv signed, consequencies with your actions will be implemented within the confines of the contract. like you'll pay a said amount, etc. the only time na pwede ka magdala ng kaso sa korte is when you got terminated with no just cause or no due process. not likely that any company would kill for that amount.
to the TS, the problem that you have is when you try to get clearance or emp certificate. they would likely asked you to pay the bond, that's if you've breached the contract. if i were you, il get in touch with hr. di ka naman makukulong pag ganyan.

well bai, since you formally resigned, then pabayron gyd ka ana sa company sa bond but bayad lng if ila na gyd kang gukdong, if dli ayaw lng sa paabot lng...

here is just my point, if ni-resin ka pila ka months after ka na hire diba flaw or minus mn pud na sa imong part kng mangapply ka sa lain company...

i am not suggesting mag-AWOL as a way for us employees in this kind of situation, but naa man gyd point in our life nga dli nato makaya like in your part, ang best way lng guro is and that is if nag-AWOL pka ato, just not reflect that certain company as part of your work experience... murag nahog nlng xa nga white lie bai ba...

but i greatly admire your courage to formally resign thinking you have to settle paying the bond... shows that you are a person of dignity/principle gyd bai... hehehe..

so for now,, ayaw lng sa bayad unless dli ka nila paninglon or gukdong... (which i think dli gyd mamugos sila ana)...

about last pay, i think i minus na sa imo untang receivables from the company...
about certificate of employment, dli na sila mo release unless nkapay ka sa imong mga pending payables...

hope you can iron this out sooner bai...

    hehehe
    pero sa ako lang
whats the point of resigning. imo i butang sa imo resume 2 or 3 months ka ana nga company?

first off; before you even sign a contract, you were fully brief of the nature of the work and it stated right on top of your name and signature that you have read and fully understood the contract and that you are bound to abide by it. If by any means you feel that you don't like the job after affirming your signature, then you did not held the company liable for your what you've signed for. That's why on the contract signing or work offering you are given option to sign or not. There is no such thing in law that you held the company liable for what you have signed for.

    @ TS

why not call up the HR? lols. bitaw, seriously.. just wait for some infos about it. kung wala kay madawat from them na letter or call that you'll have to pay. hilom nalang. but if they did, walay ma hems but you have to pay for it.

the first place, you were given the amount of time to read their terms and conditions and you have the option to not accept it if kabaw ka na di nimo kaya. but i know sometimes, we can say na kaya nato but in reality, dili diay. thats why i understand your part.

    so good luck then...

thanks a lot for your say in this issue. the truth is, pabayron jud ko ani. but my mom suggests not to declare it as work experience. so let's say di nako i-declare as work experience, what consequences will i face in the future?
