Bruce Bowen, three-time champion with San Antonio Spurs, retiring from basketball - ESPN

After helping the San Antonio Spurs to win three championships and establishing himself as one of the premier perimeter defenders of the decade, Bruce Bowen is retiring at 38.

Bowen told ESPN.com that he will formally announce his retirement at a Thursday afternoon news conference and said he would elaborate more on his decision then.

It is believed that Bowen, who became an unrestricted free agent Aug. 1 when the Milwaukee Bucks bought out the final year of his contract, has decided to step away from the game because of his growing desire to pursue off-court business and community interests as well as a career in broadcasting.

3 championship rings, 8-time All Defensive Team & countless "flying-kicks".. di na mag-mahay si Bowen sa iyang 12-year NBA career.
One of the best perimeter defenders of the decade.

2. The reason I asked you to check on our team roster was because we've made a LOT of moves this offseason that, I assume, you have clearly no idea of. You can also get the mean average age of our team through that site, just so you'd have a reference.

While I commend you for giving your best effort on those stats, but this only goes to show how team age averages can change in a blink of an eye.

Around a month ago when you began barking out that the SPURS are older than the celtics, we we're actually younger by a negligible 0.5 years (before the Theo and Daniels signing). Imagine the impact on our ave age (as if it matters to us) if we go ahead and trade Mason and/or Bonner and/or Finley for SJax this/next week.

Bottomline, teams go out and do the best they can to fix their roster problems. As one poster here pointed out, a younger team ave age does not equate to an automatic championship.
