    @pidz

    1) ok .. to start, open a photo in PS CS2. In my case I always use areal, landscape shots like the photos I posted.

    2) Enter quick mask mode by pressing "q"

    3) Choose the gradient tool and on the tool pallete chose katong reflected gradient.

    4) on the photo .. draw a line from a point where you want the picture to be on focus and the lenght of the line determines how large the focus area will be. Note that if you are using the reflected gradient .. if you're drawing a vertical line, the gradient will be horizontal and vice versa. For my photos, I usually start at the bottom 1/3 of the photograph (rule of thirds kuno).

    5) Exit the quick mask mode again by pressing "q" again.

    6) Now from the filters menu, choose Blur->Lens blurr. Adjust the parameters ... like the number of aperture blades, etc. And hit ok!

    7) Enjoy your creation.
