Ok ra ang Baiyoke Suite tol,
The room is very large, looks more like a condominium unit. It comes with a kitchen with mini dining table, a sala, and a separate bedroom.
Food (breakfast) is very delicious too.
No problem with shopping because Baiyoke is just located within the vicinity of Pratunam Market. Looks very much like Divisoria or even Colon Street. There are lots of tiangges within the vicinity too similar to the one that you can find in Mango Square Mall or Robinsons.
Don't forget to visit Baiyoke Sky too beside Baiyoke Suite. It's the tallest building in Bangkok and you can get a 360 degree view of the city from the very top for 200 Baht.
thanks bai!
regarding sa rooms, suite na imo g.kuha? heheh kay twin room ra biya amo gkuha so i doubt it if naa siyay kitchen and dining table heheh may i ask when was the last time you were there? i heard from other comments ( searched the web for reviews) that the room looks really old and the elevators are really slow. is this true?
^^
I don't think so bai, pero this was part of a package that I got from a travel agency here in Cebu (Destinations Travel).... In fact, mine was the cheapest Bangkok package...
The last time I went there was 2004. The hotel is situated in Pratunam district, which reminds me more like Carbon Market/Colon Street. In fact, when you get out of the hotel, makeshift stalls will greet you, the roads too are very narrow. The tallest building in Bangkok -- Baiyoke Sky -- is just beside it. You might be expecting an environment similar to Ayala Business Park or Fuente OsmeƱa but it is not.. Anyway, that's the essence of Bangkok man sad --> cheap shopping, tiangges, massage/spa centers, etc...
The setup of the hotel I guess is similar to Midtown Hotel here in Cebu... Wala'y lobby sa first floor but only an elevator... Ang ila lobby kay naa sa 4th floor man tingali tu. That's because the 2nd and 3rd floor is a part of another building full of tiangges like divisoria or greenhills...... So meaning, you have to take two elevator rides (first to the lobby, second from lobby to your room).
Twin room means it has twin beds or two beds... My unit had two beds and I was the only one inside because my mom and sister were in the other unit just beside mine!
So in one unit there is a mini kitchen, a separate bedroom with "twin beds", a sala, etc.. Take the cue, it's "Baiyoke SUITE Hotel."
This is how the area looks like when you get out of the hotel building
Mao ni ang view during breakfast... It's in the topmost floor of Baiyoke Suite
This is the separate bedroom. Inig gawas nimo kay naay sala w/ TV, mini dining table, and mini kitchen
