For business or general use, IBM X60 for portability or T60 for all-around mobile computing. Medyo mahal lang but if you're looking for an excellent notebook, this is tops. Great performance, unbeatable battery life, superior management capability (both hardware and software), 3-year warranty. For gaming, Dell XPS

Ng Khai (or NGenius) has stores both in Ayala and SM and they support hardware warranty. I forgot the name of the store beside Datablitz Ayala (3rd floor), but I think its also an IBM outlet. Good luck!

I'd go for Turion bec. I just bought one.. (hehehe biased me) Turion is hyped as a Pentium M killer but some say its not but shows promise and a worthy competitor to Intel's processors.

based on review sites, the Turion barely underperformed on benchmark test to the point that most users wouldn't notice in their applications. And most review sites pick Turion system from a value perspective.

by the way here's the specs. Its an HP dv5000 series laptop

    AMD Turion 1.8ghz

DVD SuperMulti (DVD-RAM, DVD+/-R double layer) drive with LightScribe
    80 GB

    Windows XP Media Center Edition
