^^just what I thought. this is basically the same reason why they're doing this thievery in broad daylight, 'coz they're not afraid of the repercussions or simply put, the lack of it. so that means, the best option left right now albeit farfetched is for an expose' by the tri-media.

everyone caught with their hands on the cookie jar should pay a stiff price, their faces shown on national tv, national newspapers or mentioned on radio so it'll serve as a deterrent for future wrongdoings of this magnitude.

if the media would turn a blind eye on this situation then that would mean our priorities as a society is all screwed up.

I hope not, but the possibility of them (media) doing the right thing is more of a dream than a reality.

I pity the survivors of Guinsaugon.

good news!!! I hope there's no whitewash here.

Southern Leyte guv focuses on acctg. of post-landslide aid

Southern Leyte Gov. Rosette Lerias assured Cebu Province that she will account for the P5-million monetary aid she received from Gov. Gwendolyn Garcia yesterday, just as she will for the rest of the P17 million she got so far for her province that was devastated by landslides the past month.

But in a press conference, Lerias wants the public to know that not all assistance was coursed through her or the Southern Leyte Provincial Government.

Millions of assistance, either in cash or in kind, was given through other agencies that she has no control over, such as National Government agencies like the Department of Social Welfare and Development and nongovernment organizations such as the Red Cross, Gawad Kalinga or different churches.

“I don’t know what they have in their hands. Di man pud ta kabuot sa donors ug asa nila ihatag. We have to have a listing of these,” she told reporters.

    So, unsay buhaton sunod?
