It's a facebook group called Pinoy Physicists Unite. I was invited to join just a few months ago. The group admin has a research group in the US, i think. There are also so many Pinoy Physicists specializing in almost everything that are abroad that I never knew existed.

Don't we have the Philippine Nuclear Research Institute, formerly the Philippine Atomic Energy Commission? The know-how among Filipino physicists is certainly there, has been for decades. In fact, there is a small nuclear reactor (for research purposes) operated by the PNRI near UP Diliman. That's aside from the nuclear reactor already in Bataan, already bought and fully paid for by the Filipino taxpayers by the way.

true. =) We just need to revive the program. To do this, the government must provide good opportunities for Filipino Scientists who are abroad so that they will come back. As of now, I can't imagine our government doing this. Nuclear energy requires a lot of investment and maintenance. It is very much possible though and would be very promising.

sakto c marcos jud. sa time ni marcos, he was planing to put up a nuclear power plant in hmmmmmm blank, i forgot where. hehehe then people that are against him, make a protest etc. hazardous to people, humanity and environment. marcos has lots of vision for the philippines, but sad to say, all of them remain just an piece of art on the wall to be visualize. they just cant take a genius to run a country for 20years ++.
