dats ryt! Enola Gay (the bomber) dropped two bombs on the 2 cities. hiroshima and nagasaki.
here's the "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hiroshima_bombing ", link.
base on the choice of target, hiroshima was not on the list. When Gen Spaatz's reported his choice, and said that Hiroshima is the only city without POW, it then that washington decided it and made hiroshima on its priority list
check "Choice of Targets", lingaw ang reason why Kyoto was removed from the list
@jamire....yes Enola Gay dropped Little Boy in Hiroshima and Fat Man in Nagasaki...
@samokan....sis i don't know asa ang difference because if adto ka sa HIroshima Museum naa didto ang story about how they selected the targets..according to the book The Spirit of Hiroshima (that I got from the Peace MEmorial Museum there) ....."on April 27,1945 The Target Committee meeting was held and it was decided that the A- bomb targets should be military cities with little previous bomb damage so that the effect could be accurately evaluated. Initially 17 cities were considered. On May 31 , four cities were left in the list Hiroshima, Kokura, Niigata and Kyoto. Later Kyoto was removed from the list and Nagasaki was added. Kyoto was removed because it had been for centuries the seat of the Imperial Court. It was thought that if the A bomb were dropped ina city so central to Japanese pride, it would be more difficult to get the cooperation of the Japanese people during the occupation under the war."
unsa man diay sulti didto sa wikipedia...ngano gi remove man ang kyoto? (tapulan kaayo ko mo click sa link no he he he)
