When will this stop? Criminals masquerading as fratmen roams the city streets at will. Are the police doing their jobs well? I guess not! - for they have known about these violent bad elements but have not successfully apprehended them. Do these criminals enjoy the protection of some public officials? I think so too! Let me call the attention of the leaders & alumni to purge your ranks. Enough of the excuses...do your job now! Be the catalyst for truth...live the solemn oath! Okies, mga bros?

TWO unidentified men repeatedly fired at three men on a motorcycle in Mandaue City Friday night, killing one and hurting the other two.
Operatives of the Homicide Section of the Mandaue City Police Office believe the shooting was not the work of vigilantes. Instead, it may have been a case of unfair division of loot, as the victims were linked to robberies in the city.
Insp. Gregorio Aniņon said the attack happened at 11:15 p.m. on H. Abellana St. in Barangay Canduman.
Victim Benjie Lacson died from a bullet wound in the left temple.
His companions Danilo Miano, 26, and Ariel Parcon, 31, were hit in the back, and are recuperating at the Vicente Sotto Memorial Medical Center (VSMMC) in Cebu City.
Aniņon said that Parcon, a member of Alpha Kappa Rho (Akrho) fraternity, was a subject of their operation for his possible involvement in a recently reported robbery, but he eluded arrest.
Lacson, also an Akrho member, was also a suspect in some robbery incidents in the city.
Aniņon said the three had been drinking in the house of a certain Bao in Barangay Tawason. On their way home, it started to rain. They first sought shelter, waiting for the rain to abate.
When they proceeded and reached a flooded area, they slowed down. It was then that two men on a motorcycle pulled up next to them.
The man in the back pulled out a gun and fired at Lacson, Miano and Parcon, causing their motorcycle to crash.
Lacson died on the spot, while Canduman police and a barangay tanod rushed Miano and Parcon to the Mandaue City District Hospital. The two were later transferred to the VSMMC.
