if i remember my history correctly, the bombing of hiroshima was actually an accidental event which lead to the defeat of japan during the ww2.

an allied forces carrying an atomic bomb, was not supposed to be flying over japan at that time, i think he miscalculated his coordinate and ended up in hiroshima.

have you ever wonder why kyoto was never bombed or targetted during the war?

did you know why the event in pearl harbor was considered to be a very big deal?
because japan went to war before declaring war and they have been paying that mistake.

@samokan....sis the bombing of hiroshima was planned...they chose hiroshima because a military (or naval) base was in the area.....plus it is bounded by mountains...so easy to assess the result of the catastrophe....

kyoto was not bombed because it is the heart of Japanese culture...the Americans at that time rightly considered that the Japanese would never recover if Kyoto was destroyed...it was said that it is comparable as "tearing the heart out of Japan".....

it was not accidental at all...the Enola Gay was dispatched with the Little Boy for that very purpose....
