if ordinary picture tube tv the resolution still better than ordinary dvds, but much better for full HD 1080p LCD gyud and you will see the clarity of blu ray, aside from playing dvds the media player can play almost all formats also, you can compile family photos, mp3 collection etc, the menu you can choose to view thumbnails or lists, very user friendly
