Bisan mao ni ang numbers nato :

    - NAVY = 50 with 100 marines
    - ARMY = 25
    - AIR FORCE = 35

AS long us we are in good standing with the UNITED NATIONS then why worry about war na kuwang ta sa personnel ??

Did you even know that our very own SWAG is far more better than the US Seals ? Ayaw lang i-apil ang technology but ang training n knowledge na lang .

WE should know it firsthandÂ* from 7DMM the capabilities of the AFP if we have the technology of the 1st world countries . What can you say bai 7DMM ?? Hehehe .... remember what Gen Mac Arthur said ? Di pa na ang mga heavily trained soldiers nato ha .

Back to d topic .... why need reserves thru the ROTC program when these reserves could be anyone else including ur barkada sa callcenter ,ur favorite professor , insurance agents , McDo employees , bartenders of the nightspots in Cebu etc .... do you really think they are of good use or a waste of time n money ??

I guess the article is talking about the active reserves, the reserves first to mobilize.

    Army

    Navy
24,000 forces (estimated, including 7,500 marines) with one frigate and 58 patrol and coastal combat vessels

Guys, do you think this is enough in case of a war? well he#% NO

    ...
hehehehe so my estimates are within rangeÂ* Â*https://www.istorya.net/forums/index.php?topic=75854.50

army- those 65 light tanks maybe refering to the v-150 armored car- m113 apc or at most the best in army's inventory of armored vehicle the FV-101 scorpion light tank 76mm main gun +7.62 machine gunÂ* we have a couple of these which was use by the british army since 1973 retired in 1994 tsktskkkÂ* Â* even then during erap's all out war against the milf it serve well but its 12.7 mm armor
is not enough for milf's rpg i seen one in a news paper i think its philstar at that time which have a thru and thru hole in its sides.i wonder what happen to the crew..

navy-what navy do we have a navy? i wonder what that loneÂ* frigate is maybe like this one http://www.navy.mil.ph/gallery/ships...ges/PF11.JPGÂ* Â*this vessel will be lucky enough to have a weather radar and good diesel engine which mostly palyado.. the best they have for now is the three peacock class patrol boats bought from the british when it pulled out from honkong 1999 i think but its a boat not a ship ngekkkk

airforce-what airforceÂ*Â* can anyone please tell Mr.bush to give us someÂ* surplus go@ d@#n planes he dont need. 44 combat aircraft 87 armed helicopters jesus i think these figures are in the 1965 to 1975 or 80 rangeÂ* we do have a squadron 12 to 24 planes OF A-7 CORSAIR attack fighter aircraft retired in 1982Â* i think + a squadron of f-5 freedom fightersÂ* the last of the 3 donated f-5 from korea or taiwan or thailand retired last year..so in short we dont have any single combat fighter jetÂ* we do haveÂ* the s-211 trainer its jet okay converted by the ingenius pinoys to cary bombs as with their cessna turboprop trainer too no wonder many did crash as did the ov-10s waaa ..and maybe we have 2 c-130 left or 1...... and the helocopters what helocopters the legendary 5 strike wing sikorsky gunships mostly now converted into search and rescue maybe a hand full of md-520 gunships maybe 10 left again because of crashes and around 10 or lucky enoughÂ* 20 U-H1H HUEY transports AKA FLYING COFFIN but you know all planes in the airforce are flying coffins no wonder our AFP have difficult time in combating the menacing abusayaf and rebels..

GO@ DAM$ where the hell is that AFP modernazation law which was created in the middle 90s its mandated that the sale ofÂ* hectares of government lands in metromanila mostly military camps resevations and golf courses and camps around the country in which procedds will be for the modernazation of the AFP what a sad crap d#mn helllll.i thinkÂ* a lot of those lands were already sold.. that law was created at that time so by now around 2005Â* we have a dignified AFP..

the united nations wontÂ* doÂ* a crap or anything if our claim in oil rich spratly islands( already some small reefs and islets had been annex already example http://www.pacificnet.net/jue/chinan...cs/990308.html ) will be attack or annex by mighty china a battalion of naval infantry landing or airborne assualt by chinaÂ* on our largest claim the pagasa island can easly be done. why the united nation wont do anything if ever china decides well...U.N might do something like talk talk talkÂ* Â* but thats it china far is big country the largest growing population with an appetite to buy things like coca-cola, pesi..etc the united states which is the major player in the UN will calculateÂ* that china is far to more important than our claim in that small islands considering the vast economic potential ofÂ* chinaÂ* Â*in which he they can exploit. our mutual defense treaty had big gray area loopholes it wont help us in spratly and in sabah ( in which i think we already lost look how they treat our pinoys there abusing and mass scaleÂ* deportation)..Â*

well as for the ROTC i have already aired some inputs Â* :crazy2
