wala lang ko kasabot how a female could physically get attracted to foreigners who are in their late 40s, 50s and 60s. Siguro pod, most of us started loving our partners coz na attracted ta nila physically. kay in reality, di pod nako ma take nga naa ko female foreigner nga 60 year old (unless of course kung naa financial capacity nga sya mo buhi nako).

oh well, common perception naman pud na sa mga tawo bisan ako before this is my perception why filipinas marry a 60 year old foreigner... tungod sa kwarta... what would a woman in her right mind marry an old guy who is just waiting to die and is just enjoying life alongside with a wife/private nurse/maid/s** slave...

c'mon let's not be pretentious right? this is on going and should be put to people's mind that this is not good... and if mamatay na ang foreigner minyo dayun lain foreigner...at the end it all boils down to getting pension...

this is what my mentality before... ako gisumpa sako self na dili ko magminyo og foreigner kay i know for sure people would think im a gold digger... but just 11 months ago, ako gi-kaon ako gipanulti, i married a 29 year old Briton, yea a foreigner and it hurts pala when people judged you before you even say a single word out from your mouth why you marry a foreigner...

my husband always been told by his foreigner friends take note mga tiguwang na kaau 60+ naa pud 70 na-a pud late 50's na why he came to the Phils when he is very young he should have stayed in UK and work there and just come here for retirement when he has pension... and you know what he always say the reason why he came here, it's because of me...why he came here nothing more nothing less.

as for me? i married him because i love him, they might be some issues in between but that's part of married life is and how to deal with issues and solve them...and one thing i always been telling myself i will marry a guy whom im going to spend the rest of my life with and who will be with me to run after my kids and play with my kids, and to be with me when i grow old... i did found him...

i really have no idea that this is how bad a filipina-caucasian marriage looks like,I am married to a foreigner too and his older, 5 years older but we met each other here abroad. I've heard so many issues everytime me and my partner go for a tour, if we see a young filipina lady with an old man, people judge them straight away,her.. as a hooker or the other one as a filthy old man. I once had a chat with this young lady and I'm a straight forward type of person, I speak up my mind without no hesitation so i asked her why of all the man in the world, why him...when his alot older. She told me she came from the slums, she had no education, how could she build a life 10 years from now?she even swore to me that she had try but with no avail. she doesnt want her family and most of all her future kids to experience same thing as her cause its not easy. she wants the best for them, sacrificing her happinness for the future is no big deal for her.(fair enough i told myself).

she then told me how lucky i am to have my husband, good-looking with money. she asked where we met, and i found myself telling her our story. me and my partner met abroad, 4 years after me and my family moved in and i didnt want his money at all,i dont wanna brag but im a self made woman. i've worked hard for my money. but hearing this young lady's story, i started asking myself, how many ladies in same situation as her in into same circumstance?and the society criticising them?

one thing that will remain a truth to me.. those women will sacrifice themselves for the sake of family. i cant blame them, can you?

if its their ticket to live enormously from marrying rich pensioners then be it. its their life and we should just be happy for them..they're still our fellowmen.

this poignant revelation made me realize how lucky i am to be here, i owe so much my parents for working hard and making us what we are now cause i get to choose who i want to be with for the rest of my life.

i just hope we can stop criticizing them or before we start to criticize someone, you walk a mile in their shoes that way when we criticize them were a mile away and you have their shoes!

remember ladies..great minds discuss idea, average mind discuss events and shallow minds discuss people.

Default Used as a STEPPING STONE

    Hmmnnn..no offense.

It's pretty obvious that the foreigner was used as a stepping stone to fulfill someone's dream to go abroad.

    Well, all the best!
