    Default SLI and CROSSFIRE

What Actually is SLI and CROSSFIRE?

what i know is that SLI is from NVIDIA while CROSSFIRE is from ATI.

    but how does it work??

    can i pair a 9800GT with a HD4770?

SLI is for nVidia, as u have said.
Crossfire is for ATi, as u have said.
therefore, it wont work with combining video cards from nvidia and ati. technology is different, driver is also different. hardware support is also different.

they are technology that boost graphics representation speeds and quality by augmenting a single graphics processing unit (GPU) with another of ITS KIND. they sometimes call it bridging (which referes to the physical "bridge" you put on to connect two or more cards together sa imohang motherboard). sometimes this is cooperating, wherein a load is divided into different GPUs, or by dividing loads wherein ,example, lahi sa physics processing and lahi sa ang sa display processing (too technical to explain). in multi GPU, single card setups, two GPU's are physically present sa usa ka card, but gi-bridge nana sila electronically sa card mismo, the result are X2's like 9800gx2 or 4870x2 (naming may differ though).

it is wrong to believe though that wen you have two cards, u get twice more of the performance.

    Ok SLI and Crossfire again!

Let me ask your opinions what are the benefits and the difference of using both SLI/Crossfire? Explain

I think one card is enough.

if you are a heavy gamer then it wont be enough for you. a increase in performance is badly needed so thats why naay sli ug crossfire kay para ma increase ang performance for gaming.
