Ah ok. Ninja scrolls I have already seen. Also Basilisk notice nako na dili jud malikayan ang adult scenes basta Ninja stuff. Hehe..

Also found some great Historical Anime but still not released yet in the Phils. Its called Musashi souken

The fights are real actual fights of Musashi recorded in History including his famous opponents Shishido Baiken(chain and sickle), Denshichiro Yoshioka(Yoshioka School), Seijuro Yoshioka(Yoshioka school). Also 70 seasoned samurais fighting Musashi all at the same time. Just to say some few opponents.
All aspects of his like like how he became a very good fighting strategist he's the founder of the Hyōhō Niten Ichi-ryū or Niten-ryū style of swordsmanship(Dual swords katana and wakizashi) and the author of The Book of Five Rings.
I'm quite exited. I hope we would even have this available here.

EDIT: oops, I wasn't reading your entire post. sorry. I like Rurouni Kenshin of only for the visuals and not the historical accuracy. I'm intrigued by the anime you mentioned. Time to look for it on the net.

I might be mistaken Musashi timeline its about born at 1584 and died 1645. Might even be older than Kenshin or battousai era.

Kanang dual weild sa Kempo murag mao na ang styla. Mga kempo school asa man ka mangahoy ana diri.

I just like the historical side of these anime.
