nihapit kog reputable repair shop kay na agian lang naku nya nanginquire na lang ko unsa ila tanaw nga problema sa aku sakyanan. gi ingnan man ko diritso general overhaul sa makina kay basa napd daw ang deposits sa aku tambutso. ang presyo sa service kay murg wa sd ko nahimutang. nag ask ko kung unsa pa lain buhatun aside sa overhaul mao to ingun sila basin ang valve seals ba luag lang ug ang mga gaskets pahugtan ra daw.

im not an expert sa engines pero kadto ila gi suggest nga tighten sa mga seals murg maka uyon pako. nagduda lang jud ko nga basin kadto mga seals or spark plugs lang tngai ang ilisanan. nalipong ko sa gi ingun nga general overhaul.

i know kadto mga mekaniko experensyado to sila pero unsa inyu masulti sa ila suggestion nga general overhaul? needed naba jud kaha to sa state sa ako sakyanan?

Medyo langan gyud mag abli sa makina to check for leaks replace some parts. Gusto ka ug alternative, it will take time pud pero you can do it yourself ra pud. Kung carburetor gamit sa imong sakyanan, pwede ra na nimo ma flush or mahugasan aron mawagtang nang hugaw sa valves ug cylinder using half of the mixture of 500ml kerosene and 250ml acetone "slowly" ipainom through the carburetor while wala naka taud ang usa ka pares nga spark plug wires (assuming 4 cylinders na) at 1500rpm to 2000rpm for 10 minutes.

Turn off the engine and replace back your spark plug wires and disconnect the other pair and repeat flushing by pouring slowly the remaining half of the mixture. Inig mahurot na after 10minutes, turn off the engine and reconnect the spark plug wires. Idle for 20 minutes to burn the remaining unburned mixture. Ayaw ka tingala, mas improve ang idle nimo after cleaning. You can repeat the same procedure the following weekend and another weekend then you have to discard your engine oil afterwards. This is a patented procedure that I also applied to my engine when I got my car. seek second opinion bro. a reputable shop may be too costly. daghan shop nga dili sikat pero maayu ug barato ra sad.

CMIIW, ang valve seal dili na something nga muhugot then muluag then i-retighten. there's a small spring on the seal itself to make it hold sa valve. kung muluag na gani ni, it's already worn-out. need replacement. kung mag-replace ug valve seal does not need a general overhaul. top or semi ra ni.

as for the gasket, kinahanglan ilang i-specify unsa na gasket ilang pasabot. like the seal, gaskets are not something nga pwede ra pahugtan. if the gasket (head gasket) is worn-out already, it could contribute to improper combustion leading to black smoke.

about sa valve seals and gaskets, murg wa pani matanaw sa mekaniko. naa kaha possibility mao ni culprit after changing spark plugs and engine tune up? how about change oil makatabang ba sad?

depende na on how u maintain your car, like how often mag oil change ka, and wat lubricants ur using, tune up, etc... baically it all goes down kun gi unsa nimo pag atiman sa imo makina.

Pa top overhaul lang kung naay problema nga kinahanglan na ablihan ang makina.
Aron di na mahitabo, "do not" follow everything what your car manual will tell you.
When you do, sure gyud dali ra ka mag top over hauling.

Mas maayo masabtan pud nato ang atong makina as car users. We should also learn

mau bro, there are many factors that could contribute sa imong problem bro. basing on experience, i got black smoke coming out of my exhaust system before. i observed that my plugs get black easily after cleaning. sigurado jud na improper combustion kay mas daghan gasolina musulod kaysa hangin. mau na mu-itom dayun akong plugs. no matter how i adjust my timing and mixture, rich jud pirmi. so 1st culprit was was the valve seal. so ilis ko valve seal. wala gihapon nasulbad, holy black smoke gihapon!

then next, i had the oil changed and injected it with a breakthrough formula that even for 2 years walay kay ilis2x ug oil pwede. it gave me an additional boost, around +1KM per every liter you fill. but the smoke is still there.

then i got the "black box" installed that enhances my ignition, giving a steady supply of spark sa akong plugs. additional boost gihapon ni ug quicker response on acceleration. but the black smoke did not disappear.

so lately, among gipasanginlan ang akong carb. we overhauled the carb and cleaned everything in it. ok ra man then "taraaaaaan!" we saw that the secondary throttle was stuck nga inig high RPM, dili musira balik resulting to more gasoline than the mixture permits. mau na improper burn pirmi nya magsige na ka-itum akong plugs. we installed back the carb and solved the black smoke at high rev pero naa gihapon asu gamay during idle. thanks to my brilliant and dependable mechanic, we removed again the carb and saw that the fiberflex gasket is already worn out. alkansi na sa vacuum imong makina kay hungaw man pirmi. so we changed the gasket. at last, the black smoke was resolved... hopefully!

kung puti imong smoke, that's another story.

just sharing my experience. 'hope this would help...
