Bai, nobody's too young for jazz. Take for example Tony Royster, Jr. The kid's just 21 years old and has been playing jazz since he was in his early teens.

Although jazz has a very complex pattern theoretically, it also involves a lot of heart and soul for you to get the hang of it.

My uncle is also a jazz guitarist and he's my current jazz guitar sensei. He'd sometimes tell me to forget my rock playing styles at the time to embrace the whole concept of jazz. But I just can't. I could never get away with my speed picking and shredding. It's stuck with me like how remoras stick to a shark.
