After Philippine independence was granted on July 4, 1946 the Hukbalahap rebellion would become the predominant focus of the AFP. To quell the insurgency, the Air Force primarily employed the North American P-51D Mustang.

At the height of the Cold War, the Philippine Air Force would become one of the best-equipped air forces in Asia, and would remain such for over three decades. At one point, the Air Force had more P-51 Mustangs than it had pilots.

The P-51 of the 40's probably has better performance than the S-211, our present-day front-line "fighter".

either datu or poor. kay naa may comparison.

    O/T--To restate:

The individual Filipino is nominally richer than the individual Indian. Kung per capita basis.

But India as a country has a much larger economy than the Philippines--$1.2-Trillion vs $173-Billion est. GDP in 2008. It is the fourth largest economy in the world after the United States, Japan and China.

So India as a country is richer than the Philippines.

Which is why there is no way the Philippines can be richer than India.

It is not the individual Indian that buys attack helicopters or nuclear submarines, it is the Indian government.

Economy of India - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

The whole thing about "less pobre" is a joke kay di man ta ka ingon nga datu ta.
