Everyone is invited to the upcoming Lapu Lapu City Fiesta Basketball League 2009 -

Consultative Meeting on August 8, Saturday at the Lapu Lapu City Session Hall 2 pm.
League Starts September 6, 2009.

Divisions:

Senior Division (Entrance P3,000) - Must be a resident of Lapu Lapu city for 6 months. Limited to first 40 teams to submit.
1st place - 10,000
2nd place - 7,500
3rd place - 5,000

Inter Company Division (Entrance P7,500) - Must be an employee of the company for at least 6 months.
1st place - 15,000
2nd place - 10,000
3rd place - 7,500

InterBarangay 40 above (Entrance P3,000) - Must be a resident of the barangay for at least 6 months and 40 yrs old or above on or before the start of the league.
1st place - 10,000
2nd place - 7,500
3rd place - 5,000

OPEN division - (Entrance P5,000) - No rules. Everyone allowed to play. PBA, MBA, Active varsity, etc. Anything goes!
1st place - 75,000
2nd place - 50,000
3rd place- 35,000

Last year we had a total of 75 teams participating. This year we are expecting over 100 teams to participate in the 2 month long league. Something new is also going to be done for the first time this year. Twice a week, the games will be held in different barangays of lapu lapu city. On all other days the games will be held at the Lapu Lapu City Basketball Court.
