Yes your statement sir is very humbling; if theres any gospel now that i would like to lobby it would be the gospel of "I DONT KNOW", one may put weight to a particular way of "belief system" maybe because it "ring a bell to him" but thats it nothing more nothing less. And Faith will always be there in whatever mental calystenics you are into; at least in the absence of so called evidence brought forth by the "5 sensory truth, plus there gadgets" faith can be taken as your mistress to maintain one's sanity, cause truth is likened to a wife, it can be very oblivious youl never know what she wants & where it leads you.

Yah i agree, faith will always be there regardless of ones religion or having none
but using wife as an analogy itches me sir dried fish

Note on Psychology of Faith

To say that the problem of religious faith is one of the major problems of our times is perhaps an understatement.
But then it has been a major problem at all stages of man's religious history. Abraham was the archetype of faith
in the old despensation, and for Paul, standing at the threshold of the new, it becomes a major theme of his preaching.
And at the birth of the Reformation, the divisive rending of Christendom took shape around t he issue of faith. The
pre-occupation throughout this long history has been primarily ontological-with-in the limitations of multiple
variations and varieties of approach. The questions to be asked in an ontological perspective are questions about the nature of
faith, about hte metaphysical definition of faith, about hte relation of faith and grace, etc. Another traditional focus
for the concerns abouth faith is the epistemological. What is the proper object of faith? How is assent possible without
evidence? How do we achieve certitude, or what kind of cetitude do we achieve, in the act of faith?

From this clip, I'm understanding that believing on something without knowing the underlying premise why such thing occurred is merely faith.
