ive tested it travelling north and south of cebu...i get directions very accurately and the trip computer gives speed reading and travel times even elevation details are available.
cebu is super detailed far from what we have seen from navfone or google earth/map...i type in the complete address of a friends house as in the house # and tres de abril and it found the house eactly.
lapu2x & opon & cordova are in good detail with major and minor route mapped out etc. abot ug talamban, ug tisa ang minor routes na map out. pag abot toledo less minor routes na ang available. major routes are fine.
I tried searching for beaches near my location and it instantly gave me all the resorts in cebu i could think off.
same with hospitals and it displayed the nearest hospital first which was the coolest since it starts finding locations from within 4km away of current location..100km...200km...etc.
finding churches and hotels is made very easy.
small enough to be a hand held device. very thin profile for easy portability. battery powered.
boracay was also pretty detailed (with dicapac waterproof case) ligaw kaayo.
btw, you can also switch to nautical units for use in the ocean. it even has ferry route info hehe.
now for the bad part.
since many roads in the outskirts of cebu are "off road/rough road/trails" without names, you need to search those areas via the place you want to go to like a resorts name or town etc. like san remegio or balamban and it will guide you there.
device has digital TV capability and garmine online but not available in the philippines. everything else works great.
Conclusion:
i was impressed by this nifty little gizmo. if you want a full functional easy to use one time pay GPS unit for your car with turn by turn voice navigation, this is the perfect device for you with multimedia to boot
here is the sample of the map details...notice the ferry route
each and every tiny road in hipodromo is listed. touching the road on the screen displays the street
as fortuna on the right...ma. luisa village on the left...talamban above
mandaue ni siya. zooming in would display more road names
