This is not about New Age-ism.

2Thessalonians was written maybe a year after the first epistle to the people living in Thessalonica, the capital and largest City of the Roman province in Macedonia.

The Author wrote the second letter to warn them of a certain false teaching ABOUT the COMING of Jesus Christ( 2thess. 2:1-2) and not about NEW AGE.

Now we beseech you, brethren, by the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, and [by] our gathering together unto him, That ye be not soon shaken in mind, or be troubled, neither by spirit, nor by word, nor by letter as from us, as that the day of Christ is at hand. Let no man deceive you by any means: for [that day shall not come], except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;--- 2thess. 2:1-3


clearly the verses show the conflict, the conflict of when the day of Jesus' coming would take place. Not about New Age-ism.


one rule in bible exegesis...don't stay out of the given theme and don't give your own interpretation. don't imply something that isn't there unless you are in the business of marketing your religion.
